Fall Ball has officially come to an end for the ladies of the UGA Women’s Lacrosse Team. We are all looking forward to our competitive spring season, but would like to reflect on the past weeks of Fall Ball!
SWLL PLAYDAY
Every year the UGA Women’s Club Lacrosse team ventures out to the Atlanta Area to meet up with the rest of the Southeastern Women’s Lacrosse League for some fun, short, and exciting scrimmages. UGA competed against tough SWLL competition in University of Central Florida, Georgia Tech, University of Florida and Kennesaw State University! The dawgs won 2 and lost 2 this year but again these are just fun scrimmages and do not count toward the regular season schedule! All in all the group of returnees and rookies had a great time playing for our friends and family on a brisk Saturday in November!
ROSWELL CLINIC
This past weekend marked our FIRST clinic of the 2010-2011 lacrosse season! We are so excited we got to share our love of lacrosse with the town of Roswell for the first time! There were about 10 girls out there who learned for the UGA laxers all about the basics of the fastest sport on two feet! Fundraising Chair Michelle Jennings said the girls were all so excited to learn about lacrosse and all had great promise for their future in the sport! UGA is excited to have the first clinic under our belt for the season and is excited for the December 4th clinic in Grayson and the January 22 clinic in Mill Creek. OUTLOOK FOR THE SPRING
On Sunday the President and Captains of the team met with all the SWLL executive board and teams for the annual SWLL scheduling meeting. At this meeting they got to meet the coaches and players of all the SWLL teams and had a chance to schedule the spring SWLL games! This spring UGA will be playing…
